Welcome,
What are Temporary Tiles?
Temporary Tiles are visited tiles reported from Tiloscope DF on your device live during an activity. They are helping monitor tile exploring progress during and after the activity using the map and the widget. Use the respective setting to adjust update frequency. Any Temporary tile will be cleared on refresh from original tile source (SH or KML) since they should then be included in the main tile set. Tiles discovered during later discarded activites (on the device) or in cropped sections (in strava) will be included here until the next refresh. Temporary tiles do not alter the way statshunters or squadrats evaluates your tiles in any way.
How does multi-activity support work?
This feature closes the history gap between refreshes. When enabled, the datafield will show temporary tiles from previous activities but are not yet in the main tile set yet as historic tiles on the device (blue). Usefull if you do more than one activity per day or use the KML uploads with infrequent refreshes.
Recommended for automatic tile updates.

Register your Garmin app's 6-character pairing key to link Tiloscope with your device. Each app installation has its own key, so even on the same device, the widget and the datafield will have separate keys.

Install widget or datafield:
Setup as full screen datafield in any activity or start widget. Register the paring key shown on the device here in the dashboard. Your device syncs a subset of your visited tiles around you from tiloscope.de. Press Start on your watch after the device has a valid GPS fix to fetch tiles. It must be connected to your phone and have a data connection.
Support further development of Tiloscope and help pay for server cost.
Permanently delete your account and all associated data (tiles, history). This cannot be undone.
